Unfinished example with the surface showing light “hammer” marks and abrasions. These were typically shaped with the bayonet pommel used as a light hammer. Found by metal detector around 2000 at Ypres (Belgium) scene of some of the most intense fighting with English and French bringing the German advance to a stalemate. Made of aluminum salvaged from ordnance. Size 10 with rounded broad 9.2mm face.
