A clutter of arms, bag pipes and a scroll with the British arms with the Scottish rampant lion being cut out with scissors. Prior to starting the print March of the Guards to Finchley, Hogarth organized a raffle whereby subscribers who paid a 3 shillings premium for the print participated in a drawing. The prize was the original painting from which the print was copied. This is a receipt for the subscription, dated 1746. 9 ½” x 7 ½”, double matted in archival materials and ready for framing.
