Used by the inner circle of the followers of Mohammed Ahmad, the Mad Mahdi, named for their trance induced dancing. 22" total length with curved natural buck horn grip and dramatically waved iron blade. The blade front chiseled in lines of crescents flanking circles inset with red pigment as found on Moroccan arms. Carved wood cross guard. Blade with a frosty gray finish as made. Horn shows minor lamination and encrustation as expected.
