1880’s, made by the American Cutlery Company of Chicago. Fine quality matched knife and four tine fork with pewter inlaid walnut handles. These were shipped throughout the US including, to frontier settlements, by rail and wagon as well as offered by sutlers. Typical for items carried and used by settlers, immigrant and citizen.
