Early pattern, used 1872-1922. See The American Sword, Peterson #153. Brass hilt made in three pieces with eagle head quillons to the cross guard. The center with M A (Military Academy) in Old English Letters. Simulated wire-wrapped grip and eagle motif pommel. 31 ¾” plated blade. Expected aging for a 100-year-old sword, but no damage, and the plating intact.
