VIKING COIL RING, 9TH-10TH CENTURY AD, SIZE 6 3/4

Gilt bronze, size. Circular section band in 3 1/4 full coils, to 8.3mm width. The coil or helix was a favorite form for Vikings and evidently held supernatural significance to them. Textured from burial. Sound wearable condition and professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with a certification of authenticity.
