Forged iron, 7 1/8” length. Curved back clipped point blade of thin fighting section, distinguishing it from a work knife. The lack of and sharpening confirms its use as a weapon. Tapered tang for mounting to a bone or antler grip without a guard. Some original surface preserved with burial degradation to the balance. Fine example of the classic Viking scramseax. Professionally conserved with Plexiglas display mount.
