Civil War issue, German import as used by both sides with 34 ¼” broad and narrow fullered blade marked HENRY BOKER SOLINGEN. Brass hilt with three bar guard and wire wrapped leather covered grip. Very minor wear only. Crisp, about excellent and complete with its leather blade seat. These German examples were purchases by the US Government and imported early in the war and so saw more action than US made swords dated 1864 which postdated most significant battles and 1865, which may not have been issues at all.
