Bronze, cast, and chased in minute detail as the double raised edge crescent moon with baluster tips representing Sol the sun and Mani the moon, the base formed as addorsed crescents with the terminals meeting in the center with a baluster terminal. The combination undoubtedly representing an astronomical event with supernatural significance. Above, a nubbed cone, perhaps an anatomical reference within five pelleted triangles. Undoubtedly of astrological significance, now lost. Viking worship involved the heavenly bodies on which they relied for guidance when sailing. Fine quality.
