Mahdist Wars period, 1884-98. 33 3/8” double edged tool finished with triple fullers at the forte and struck with pairs of man in the moon marks each side. Iron cruciform cross guard. Leather covered cylindrical grip with leather wrapped base and leather pommel above a black cord tassel. White metal mounted orange leather covered scabbard complete with its double leather shoulder straps. Sound and complete with expected wear as shown.
