Early 20th century, collected by a US soldier during WWII. 19” length of characteristic form showing considerable use with fine patina. One side carved with South Pacific. The term South Pacific, was the catch phrase for the Pacific theater of action and in that context, would have been used rather than the name of the island, Malaita.  Doubly rare as an honest early Oceanic club, collected in WWII.
