Wire wrapped ray skin grip and fine 32” double fullered blade decorated with foliage and crossed flags including the flag of Scotland with St. Andrew’s cross. he quality and style of decoration clearly dating it to the 19th century. At that time officers of the following regiments carried these: Royal Scots Fusiliers, Highland Light Infantry, Seaforth Highlanders, Cameron Highlanders, Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, King’s Own Scottish Borderers, and Black Watch. Excellent uniform condition with some wear to the plating from polishing.
