Red ware unguentarium, 3 ¼” length with tapered swelled body on low conical base. Tubular neck with flared rim. Provincial, from Roman occupied Carthage (Africa Proconsularis) and made with its distinctive red clay. Excellent and undamaged. Used to ship and dispense perfume which was vital to Roman hygienic culture.
