Bronze, 3 1/4" length. A chisel or gouge, surgical or dental. The circular terminal with domed, pierced decorative attachment, evidently brazed. That construction provides a interior cavity accessed by five pierced holes, probably to hold medicine, probably an opiate. Tapered shaft terminating in a depressed face cutting edge. Fine patina and beautifully made.
