Romans were fastidious about hygiene (NB the baths) and removal of all body hair was part of the grooming process. These bronze tweezers, 3” (3.02”) long, were used for that purpose. A recent exhibition at Wroxeter in Shropshire, England features over 50 pairs of such tweezers along with other artifacts. A CNN article on the exhibition, illustrating tweezers such as this and their use, is available at CNN. With a certificate of authenticity.
