Natural cow horn, 7 ¼” length with raised conical spout. Very slightly domed wood base made without a provision for suspension. Baluster wood plug. Fine age character. The horn surface slightly grained from age. Used to store and dispense the fine priming powder used in the flintlock pan. This horn would have been carried in a hunting bag or jacket pocket to assure that the powder stayed dry. See Neumann p.152 #19.
