The left side struck with clear maker’s marks. Bulbous wood grip with brass mounts chiseled in Zen motifs and inlaid twisted wire. Wood scabbard with foliate decorated mounts and congealed leather covered middle. Materials and workmanship as found on the jians of the period such as our UC9999. The form unique in our experience after extensive research.
