Patterned after the Portuguese original, completely Indonesian manufacture. 5 ½” tapered barrel, with flared muzzle, octagonal at the breech. Foliate decorated with a makers mark, chiseled Arabic date and cursive Indonesian inscription to the bottom. Iron box lock and brass studded wood grip with bone inlay flanking the tang. Bone or antler butt cap with lanyard ring. Well used with superficial wear and good patina. The script appears to be old Javanese in cursive form. Unique in our experience and research.
