7 3/8” length. Wedge section blade with spear point, struck with a maker’s mark on the left side. Integral full width tang and “dunce cap” form pommel, characteristic of this type. Retaining its very rare original wood scale grips in excellent preservation. The iron rusted with texture to the blade and some scaling to the pommel. Best example of this type we have had. May well have served in the English Civil Wars of the first half of the century.
