Forged iron, 5" length. Tapered socket ridged on four sides. The cardinal ridges continuing as low medials on the leaf-shaped point. Predating plate armor, the point is of relatively thin section, capable of easily penetrating the iron mail of the period. The point is slightly bent from an impact which likely accounts for its loss. Excavated and heavily textured with the base of the socket eroded. Very rarely encountered as unlike arrowheads, these were very seldom lost on the battlefield.
