An unusual example, probably late 18th century. Long iron head with wavy spear point and conical socket. The base with an angled diamond section cross spike with recurved tips. The junction enclosed in and the octagonal brass box representing a bagua (Taoist cosmic symbol) with punch decoration spider web and central circle with punched Ying & Yang symbol. Original hardwood haft tapering toward the butt. 96 ¼” overall length. Uniform well-aged condition.
