Iron head of characteristic form and fine quality. The blade of laminar patterned watered steel, with thickened armor piercing point. The base in a laminated bolster with worn/faded silver koftgari decoration. Tapered socket in three faceted ranks. The pattern rotating by ½ facet at the third point. Remnants of silver koftgari to the full socket. 77 ¾” length. Black japanned haft, original to its working life evidently had an iron base shoe, now lacking.
