So-called Blücher pattern as it served decisively under Blücher at Waterloo. Patterned directly after the British 1796 Light Cavalry Saber, with 32 ¼” broad, broad fullered blade and iron hilt with P form guard and saddled back strap. Wire wrapped leather covered grip. Metal with a uniform matte brown patina and showing original cross polish to the blade root. Some minor pitting speckles mixed in but very good for the period and evidently not repeatedly cleaned over the years as there is no loss of detail.
