10 3/8” length with 6 3/8” wedge section blade. The back with an inscription and the bolster well decorated in gold koftgari foliage (strong and complete). One-piece ivory grip, the base cracked from the expansion of the tang and indicative of great age, probably 17th century. Original green velvet-covered scabbard with small segment lacking at the throat. A fine early example dating to the disposals of arms in response to the disenfranchisement of the maharajas in the early 1980s.
