Iron, 26 3/4" length with ball terminal tubular haft. Rounded collar below fully modeled bull’s head with conical ears, and recurved horns. Decorated throughout with spiral bands of foliage to the haft and foliate collar. The head with expressive eyes and nose, foliage, and kneeling nobles to the right side and back. Crisp. The haft bright and the head with gray/brown patina. See Stone fig.533 #10 for a similar example identified as 17th century.
