Both plates with line foliage and cartouche panels, originally on the gold and silver decorated ground, are now worn. Both elements with chiseled inscription panels to the base. The interior liner with 19th century India ink collection tag and another marked MHA 89 which indicates purchase from the Museum of Historical Arms in 1989. Note that upon the retirement of the owner, Marvin Hoffman, we purchased the business and clientele of the Museum of Historical Arms. Later, at the request of his wife Sybil, we provided a testimonial which was read at Marvin Hoffman’s funeral.
