Greek, late 18th early 19th century, the period of decline of Ottoman control and ultimately, Greek independence. Cast bronze, 5” height including the crest on the hinged top. The front relief decorated with rococo scrolls, drapes, birds and inverted crescent. The sides with foliage and crossed spears. Plain back with a belt loop. Sound and tight with fine patina.
