Late 19th century and superior example. 6 3/4” diameter for flintlock musket. Copper body of particularly thick and heavy sheet, the faces domed. The front decorated with brass and copper applique. The back with concentric incised motifs. The bottom with 5 tear-shaped pendants, two lacking. Cylindrical spout with chained brass cap. Superior to most examples which are of thin material and flat-faced.
