Late 19th century and superior example. Small size, 3 5/8” diameter, probably a priming flask for flintlock musket. Copper body of particularly thick and heavy sheet, the faces domed. The front decorated with brass and copper applique. The back and sides with repeated incised motifs. The bottom with eight tear-shaped pendants. Cylindrical spout with chained brass cap. Superior to most examples which are of thin material and flat-faced.
