Early example with iron hilt of thick proportions, the cross guard with a latten star set with a securing pin each side. 29 1/4" curved slab side blade with beveled edge and long raised false edge. Blade gray with uniform matrix of medium pitting speckles on crisp surfaces. Hilt gray with light transverse texture, perhaps clad in silver originally. The pommel slightly bent.
