MEDIEVAL SORCERER’S RING, 8TH-11TH CENTURY, SIZE 9

Broad band, 5.3mm width, with raised edges and deep relief decoration of cabalistic ciphers and figures (mystical meaning now lost) flanked by double stipple bands filling the balance. Worn by sorcerers who practiced pagan religion before the spread of Christianity and into the early Christian period. Excellent preservation and professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored for modern wear, with certification of authenticity, and jewelry gift boxed.
