MEDIEVAL EUROPEAN RING 12TH-15TH CENTURY AD, SIZE 10 ½

Gilt bronze, size 10 ½ with 3.3mm rounded face band flaring slightly to the shoulders. Large rounded octagonal bezel on spread radially reeded base. The top in three ranks divided by lines. The central with a series of serpentine figures, possible cabalistic indicating a supernatural function. Alternatively, they may be ciphers applied by an illiterate workman to serve as a signet. Professionally refurbished with 24karat gold surface restored. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Fine large wearable example.
