The Viking period through early Crusades. Gilt bronze, size 9 1/2. Rounded face 3.2mm width band with narrowed bottom section from sizing in its working life. The shoulders are flared, stepped and engraved with hatched or lattice motifs. Oval bezel with incised border, engraved with a cross in a radiant surround (halo). See Ancient Rings, Pollio, p.103.
