LATE MEDIEVAL EUROPEAN CROSS

Small example, 15th-16th century. Just over 1” (1.03”) height, gilt bronze with a vacant  stick cross on larger cross base.  Evidently an evolution from the Christian convert’s crosses of two centuries earlier. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and mounted on an 18” gilt Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear, with certification of authenticity, and jewelry gift box.
