LARGE AND ELEGANT VIKING BEAD, C.850-1050 AD

Silvered bronze, over 5/8” in length (0.64”) and identical diameter. Spherical with ringed stringing holes. Hollow to reduce weight.  Professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored and jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity. Viking warriors wore large and elaborate neck decorations or pectorals similar to the Egyptian aegis. They were symmetrical, made of large and small elements combined with loops or rings. This would have been a major element of such a jewelry creation.
