12 ¾” four wave blade of meandering pamir pattern with nickel rich layers in elongated laminar islands. Hard wood grip with demon faces. Nodular mendak. The scabbard with well figured wood throat (closed vertical crack) and brass sheathed stem with separate relief foliate decorated brass face. As with many of these, the blade predates the mounts, probably by centuries. Its slender form results from repeated refinishing. The mounts are probably 19th century and nicely done with the tip of the scabbard cover undented which is quite rare.
