Edo, mid-19th century. 39 3/4” length, woven split cane in an herring bone and spiral pattern. Opposing ears for carrying cord. Lacquered overall in a red/brown. The interior dark brown. Bottom with some wear but no loss. Surface slightly degraded from sun/age.
