9 1/4" blade of heavy diamond section with flat ricasso on both sides. Scroll terminal recurved crossguard and fluted shell-shaped side guard. Fluted pommel with dish-shaped top and bottom and high baluster button. Iron wire wrapped grip with turban form terminals. Blade and pommel with gray patina and light frosty pitting. Guard matching with a few scattered spots slightly more degraded. The grip is about excellent. This dagger was probably made en suite with a shell guard rapier with “crab claw” hilt which was stylish at the time.
