Neapolitan. Iron hilt with faceted grip and pommel. The oval guard with complimentary radial fluting to the edge. 26 3/8” hollow faced triangular blade. Scaled for a young man in the early stages of his military career as was the custom. The hilt with some original blue/black finish and surface oxidation, particularly to the inner guard. Blade marching with some original finish and oxidation growth. At the time, Naples was in a Civil War with the aristocracy, aligned with France (Napoleon) against the proletariat.
