One piece walnut grip. 32 1/2” curved broad fullered blade with slender clipped point in the Italian taste, maker’s marked at the ricasso. About 90% plating intact to the hilt and blade. Post Franco-Prussian War and the beginning of the colonial period which led to military conflicts on the African Continent including the Italo-Ethiopian War (1895-6) and the ongoing war with the Ottoman Empire which controlled Libya.
