Late 18th-early 19th century. 7” s.e. blade, probably watered steel, The base with an incised figure of a crocodile consuming a fish one side and a tiger consuming a rabbit the other. Both in heavy silver overlay. The hilt with fully modeled ram’s head pommel. Tre grips modeled as lion and tiger respectively, each attacking a hoofed beast. Silver scabbard. Each side with a beaded border panel of an abstracted floral lattice. Small bruises to the scabbard tip, otherwise fine with expected aging.
