Iron hilt with dramatically swelled grip and slightly inverted pommel with eight point edged cap. Broad domed terminal cross guard, and fretted terminal langets. Central pin securing the blade to the hilt. 30 curved slab side blade with long ricasso and crisp maker's mark to the left side. Blade quite smooth with a few areas of black oxidation with a little pitting. The hilt with uniform medium pitting (few areas slightly heavier) blending to good dark patina. Classic military saber of the Colonial sponsored City State wars of the 18th and 19th centuries.
