17th-18th century. Forged iron, 16 1/8" length. Tapered side guards chiseled in large-scale foliage and flanking double swelled medial hand grips united with pierced dragons. Triangular blade with diamond section armor piercing point and rounded medial at the root. The blade of watered steel evidence with an active granular pattern. Areas of black oxidation/pitting mixed with the smooth gray surface to the guard and rot of the blade, but exceptional condition as these are typically heavily cleaned. Scabbard with later recovering.
