17th-early 18th century. Forged iron, 16” length with 8 ¼” medially ridged blade with diamond section armor piercing point. Hilt with slightly tapered side bars and double elongated baluster form grips. Original red velvet covered scabbard. Quite crisp with some scattered pitting. Superior condition for these which are usually found rusted and worn form excessive cleaning.
