Used in the Philippine Insurrection of 1899-1902, captured, and from the collection of General Harry Bandholtz which won first prize at the 1905 Saint Louis Exposition. Short throwing form, 49 ¾” length with tapered wood haft with woven split cane socket wrap. Leaf shaped medially ridged head with dimpled base. Head crisp with original tool finish. Haft with good patina.
