Gilt brass hilt with saddled backstrap and silver wire wrapped ray skin grip. 31 ¾” straight double fullered blade. The ricasso with the WK &C mark one side and Deutscher Offizier Verein Berlin, the other. Excellent for the period with a bright blade, crisply marked, and considerable original fire gilt to the hilt. Minor wear to the grip heel as usually encountered. The Deutscher Offizier Verein Was an officer’s club converted to an officer’s supply store where German officers could purchase uniforms, swords, and accouterments.
