IFUGAO/IGOROT HEADHUNTER'S SPEAR KAYYAN

Ex: Gen. Harry Bandholtz collection which won first prize at the St. Louis Exposition in 1905. 78” length with a large and flamboyant head with curled base spurs. Iron socket. Woven split cane wrap. Tapered shaft made without a base shoe. Fine preservation for the period. Collected during the Philippine Insurrection (1899-1902) at which time headhunting was still practiced.
