Ex: Gen. Harry Bandholtz collection which won first prize at the St. Louis Exposition in 1905. Displayed at the Monroe County Historical Museum, 2001-2. 71” length with a large and flamboyant head with upcurled base spurs. Iron socket. Tapered shaft with iron base piece, decorated with inlaid white metal strips in lineal and chevron patterns (minor losses). Collected during the Philippine Insurrection (1899-1902) at which time headhunting was still practiced.
