GREEK DAGGER FOR TRADITIONAL DRESS

14” blade with dropped point, engraved in simple foliate designs and inscribed 1821 one side and Greek name the other. Both sides with bright finish. Hilt cast in two pieces and decorated overall in floral high relief floral work. Red velvet covered scabbard with copper chape and throat mount, each with large high relief mounts of classical Greek subjects both sides. Classic example with good age patina from repeated handling and use.
