Good example of this classic Philippine sword. 19 ¾” wedge section blade. Iron hilt with fine tapered guard of cutlass form. The back with serpentine blade catcher or quillon. Spirally fluted cow horn grip with iron ferrules (minor loss and short crack). Blade shows little sharpening evidence. Excellent blade and hilt of superior workmanship. 19th century and probably captured in the 1899 Insurrection.
